Rockbridge Orthodontics

Early is often better, and that is most certainly true about orthodontic evaluations and treatment for children. Simple concerns now may become major ones later on if they aren’t deal with promptly. Bring your child in by age 7 to us at Davis Family Orthodontics so that a determination can be made about the necessity of early treatment.

You may have additional motivation to come in with our child to take advantage of our Rockbridge orthodontics. If he or she is exhibiting any of the following symptoms, then it is more than likely that she or he needs timely orthodontic care: teeth growing in crooked, breathing through the mouth, sucking of the fingers or thumbs, tooth crowding, chewing problems, misplaced teeth, losing baby teeth too early, or keeping baby teeth in for too long, teeth blocked out, shifting jaws, and sounds made when the jaws move up or down. But even if there are no obvious indications, an evaluation is recommended. Our Rockbridge orthodontics can be put to use in order to actively guide jaw development, maintain space for teeth that have yet to erupt, and prevent tooth crowding, among other benefits. This early treatment does not necessarily mean that your child will not need additional care during adolescence, but it does mean that later treatments will probably be quicker, easier, and less costly. When today’s teeth and jaw alignment problems are ignored or there is a delay in addressing them, the risk for consequences increases.

The goal of our Rockbridge orthodontics is to get a head start on your child’s teeth and jaws and how they’re positioned. In the end, what matters is that your child has a healthy set of teeth and a great-looking smile, free of pain and discomfort. Please reach out to our office right now and let us set up a time for you and your child to come in for an appointment.
