Many people have dreamed of having straighter teeth and a more even bite but the thought of wearing traditional braces with years of metal brackets was just too much of a hassle. For those people the dream of fixing their smile can be a reality with the advent of clear braces Loganville from Davis Family Orthodontics. During the initial consultation our doctor will do a complete examination of your mouth, teeth, jaw and focus on the malocclusion and then discuss all aspects of each available treatment and answer any questions you have so you can make an educated decision.
Our practice has two treatment options that offer clear braces Loganville. The first option utilizes brackets that are made from a ceramic material instead of metal that is either clear or tooth colored. The arch wires are plastic and clear. This system works the same way as traditional braces but is much harder to see, improving the look of the patient while they are undergoing treatment. Another option is the Invisalign System. Invisalign uses no brackets or arch wires attached to the teeth, in fact, there is nothing attached to the teeth at all. The system uses a series of plastic trays, called aligners that fit snugly over the teeth. Our practice sends the 3-D images taken during the initial consultation to Invisalign and they fabricate a series of aligners for each patient. The aligners gently push the teeth to their desired position. Each aligner is worn for about two weeks and is replaced by the next aligner in the series. When all the aligners in the series have been used the treatment is over and the teeth have been straightened.
Invisalign clear braces have a number of advantages over traditional and even ceramic braces. The biggest advantage is that they are virtually invisible. Although the aligners are worn 24 hours a day they can be easily taken out for meals and tooth brushing. This means that users are free to eat whatever they want without fear of bending wires or loosening brackets. Tooth brushing and flossing are much more effective without having to avoid the brackets.
